This design is part of an ongoing body of work exploring the natural world through observation and collecting curious found items.
Just like historical specimen illustration, these elements are studied individually, then arranged and curated. Harriet brings together shell forms, botanical silhouettes, insect and bone to form a new curious pattern.
Deep inky blues and soft mineral tones allow the detail of the drawing to take focus. The result feels calm, considered, and quietly intricate.

Printed onto fabric and intended for everyday use, the piece carries the character of the hand-drawn work into a functional object. It is both practical and decorative — something to be used, but also noticed.
